Robot Arm

Protectron Arm - Fallout

For this project, the entire hand section was 3D-modeled. The finger model was inverted into a negative and printed out to use as a mold for urethane rubber sleeves. The hand and internal finger components were printed, and the lights were printed in clear filament. Forearm and shoulder sections were templated and fabricated from EVA foam. The piece was painted and weathered using iron paint that oxidizes. Fingers can close and open by using pull strings from inside.
